In the strategy period 2024–2027, we aim for growth that is commercially strong, while adhering to our values and operating methods. The Board of Directors plays an important role in supporting the direction and sparring with the team.
I have been a member of Graniitti's board of directors since 2020 and have served as chairman since spring 2024. In my role, I have been able to observe up close how a team committed to values and ambitiously drives the company forward with determination.
I have a Master of Science (Engineering) and an eMBA. My background is in demanding business, technology and ICT management roles at, among others, Telia/MTV, Siili Solution and Satama Interactive. I currently serve on the boards of Graniit, Administer Oyj, Otaverkko Oy and Younite AI Oy.
Our success is based on skilled and committed people. Graniitti's culture emphasizes openness, flexibility and reliability. These values are visible in how we meet each other and our customers every day. We believe that satisfied employees create the best customer experience, and that is why we invest in the long-term development of both competence and the well-being of our work community. We dare to grow as people and thereby also as a company.
Our strategy is based on the success of our growing customer base in a rapidly changing world. We develop our services based on our customers' needs and our strong vision of how we can best support their business. Expanding our service offering is a key part of our strategy. We also want to be a reliable partner for our network, which is why we invest heavily in deepening partnerships and developing cooperation. We also develop our sustainability work and help our customers achieve sustainable growth through responsible business.
Our goal is to continue goal-oriented growth without compromising on quality. We have already operated independently of location throughout Finland, but we also aim to grow internationally with the support of our customers. Our subcontracting network is already international, and we see opportunities to expand customer work and cooperation to new markets.
As Chairman of the Board, I bring to the Graniti team extensive experience in leadership from both startup growth companies and market-leading corporations. Change and transformation have always been present and an opportunity. My goal, together with the rest of the Board, is to support the Graniti team in both strategy planning and implementation, and to ensure that our decisions lead us towards our bold long-term goals.
I believe that good board work is built on trust and open interaction. In a self-directed organization, the role of the board is to be present to support the team. It is important to act as a sparring partner who listens, challenges and helps the team see the next steps in development. At the same time, it is good to remember that a suitable amount of humor is always needed. It makes everyday life lighter, but often also clarifies thoughts and brings people closer to each other.
Graniitti Services Oy's goals and strategy for 2024–2027 are ambitious, but extremely motivating. We believe that by working together and growing, we will achieve our goals and offer our customers the best possible service.
