Our eighth financial year brought with it change, growth and moments that we can be truly proud of. Although the market situation was still uncertain during the last financial year (1.3.24-28.2.25), we offered our customers granite hard expertise in projects and change initiatives that required a strong grip and expertise. Our success was made possible by our skilled and committed staff. Their professionalism, ability to innovate and a desire to develop were visible in every assignment.
Competition for assignments continued to be quite intense during the past financial year. Despite this, we managed to achieve excellent results and this thanks to our customers.
The most significant change of the financial year was the merger of Graniitti and Conversatum at the beginning of the financial year on 1 March 2024. After this, the companies' operations were integrated and we refined our operations to suit the combined business. As I write this, I can say with satisfaction that the combined expertise is already working in practice, the skills reinforce each other and the customers benefit from the broader whole. In addition, we have now expanded our operations to the public sector in addition to the strong private sector.
Considering the uncertainty of the business environment and the changes resulting from the merger of the two companies, I am very satisfied with the past financial year. In particular, improving profitability from the previous financial year was an excellent performance for us. Our solid business foundation provides a good foundation to continue developing in line with our strategy in the coming years.
We will continue to take care of our people and the continuous development of their skills. We quickly and purposefully adopt new technologies into everyday life, not only in our own operations, but also for the benefit of our customers. The up-to-date expertise of our experts ensures that we can produce added value even in a changing and technologically developing operating environment. Despite technologies and tools, we act humanly and we know that people are always at the center of digitalization and the changing world.
These principles will help us thrive in a constantly evolving and interesting business environment, now and in the future.
